This laptop is operating under Kernel version 2.6.12-10
Basic Installation of UBUNTU:
- UBUNTU has 2.6.12 and debian-installer and Wifiradar
- I downloaded edubuntu breezy and it works
- Installing very very easy and fast on the D:\ partition of 40 GB left empty by Acer
- Post-Install with enabling Multiverse and universe repos or play with Automatix
Setting up additional features for Ubuntu
- Don't tried Suspend-to-Disk but under W$$$$ it works bad and resume very slow
- The touchpad operate as more than a PS/2 mouse and better than on W£$%
- Acer partition on fat32 let write access and a lot more stability
Unresolved issues
- Bluetooth
- Didn't try PCMCIA
