Basic Installation of UBUNTU:

UBUNTU has 2.6.12 and debian-installer and Wifiradar
I downloaded edubuntu breezy and it works
Installing very very easy and fast on the D:\ partition of 40 GB left empty by Acer
Post-Install with enabling Multiverse and universe repos or play with Automatix

Setting up additional features for Ubuntu

Don't tried Suspend-to-Disk but under W$$$$ it works bad and resume very slow
The touchpad operate as more than a PS/2 mouse and better than on W£$%
Acer partition on fat32 let write access and a lot more stability

Unresolved issues

Bluetooth
Didn't try PCMCIA
